Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to a theft that occurred within a Casuarina shopping centre yesterday.
Around 4pm, a male has entered a closed store, locating a safe key and opening the safe. It is alleged he then took approximately $2700 that was in three red, plastic, safe deposit bags with Westpac branding. An additional $1500 was taken from the float.
The male was captured on CCTV behind the counter of the store and at the front of the neighbouring Uni Lodge apartments emptying the contents of the bags.
Police would like anyone who saw the male pictured at Casuarina to come forward. They would also like to speak with anyone who knows the male. Police can be contacted on 131 444 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
