Police seek witnesses to assault at Casuarina 5 November

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an assault that occurred yesterday.

Shortly before 5:30pm, police received a report of an incident occurring at the Casuarina Bus Interchange.

It is alleged that a 14-year-old male assaulted another youth with an edged weapon. Nearby witnesses intervened and restrained the youth when a second youth offender approached and allegedly assaulted one of the witnesses with an edged weapon before both youths fled the scene.

Both male victims, aged 15 and 44, were both taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with minor injuries.

Earlier today, police located and arrested two male youths, aged 14 and 15, who remain in custody.

Members from Strike Force Trident and Serious Crime continue to investigate the incident.
