Police seek witnesses to assault with intent to steal – Brinkin

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an assault with intent to steal in Brinkin last night.

At approximately 8:00pm, it is alleged a man entered the closed cafeteria and attempted to steal from the register. Two staff members confronted the offender, and he has allegedly threated one of the staff members with an edged weapon.

The offender is described as Caucasian, 170cm tall, wearing a green baseball cap, yellow shirt with green and white stripes, maroon shorts and running shoes.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of Ellengowan Drive last night and may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact police on 131 444 or anonymously via CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference 9723479.

Police would also like to speak with a food delivery driver who attended the cafeteria at the time of the incident.
