Police seek witnesses to boy assaulted in Point Cook

Werribee police are appealing for witnesses after a 10-year-old boy was assaulted in Point Cook earlier this week.

Police have been told the boy was walking home from school when he stopped at the intersection of Kellerman Drive and Flory Avenue about 3.15pm on Monday 2 May.

It is believed an unknown person rode past him on a bike and kicked him to the back and did not stop.

The boy fell to the ground face first and received swelling, cuts and bruises to his face.

His i-pad also smashed.

The offender was riding a black bike with yellow stripes on it and was wearing a black cap and black shorts.

Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have been in the area at the time with dashcam footage.
