Police seek witnesses to pedestrians struck during Northcote crash

Greensborough Highway Patrol officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a vehicle crashed into a shop front and several pedestrians in Northcote this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Separation Street precinct to reports a 93-year-old driver struck three pedestrians while attempting to park about 10.50am on 16 December.

The pedestrians, aged between 54 and 61, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It’s understood the black Hyundai sedan narrowly missed several other pedestrians who were inside the plaza during the incident.

The male driver of the car was not seriously injured and stopped at the scene.

The incident is not being treated as deliberate, however investigators would like to speak to witnesses who may have dashcam footage as part of their ongoing enquiries.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
