Police seek witnesses to police vehicle damaged on New Year’s Eve

Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man after a police vehicle was damaged in Williamstown on New Year’s Eve.

The vehicle was parked on Nelson Place, near the Cole Street roundabout, between 11.15 and 11.25pm whilst officers were patrolling a nearby reserve on foot.

On returning, the officers found damage to the vehicle’s bonnet and front windscreen.

It is believed a man wearing a beige baseball cap and a white t-shirt was dancing on the bonnet of the vehicle before smashing the front windscreen.
