Police seek witnesses to sex assault in Dandenong

Dandenong Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are appealing for witnesses or footage following a sexual assault which allegedly occurred in Dandenong on 15 October.

Investigators have charged a 21-year-old Chadstone man with sexual assault, assault with intent to commit a sexual assault, sexual activity directed at another person, sexual exposure and commit indictable offence whilst on bail in relation to an alleged sexual assault in a Cleeland Street carpark about 1.20pm.

The 22-year-old Hampton Park woman was not physically injured during the incident.

The Chadstone man will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 25 October.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have been in the carpark at the time, or driving in the area with dashcam footage, to come forward.
