Police seek witnesses to Tooradin collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle in Tooradin on 1 August.

It’s believed a male and female were riding a motorcycle in Rutters Reserve just after 7pm before making their way to the South Gippsland Highway.

The rider was initially travelling along the shoulder of the highway but then moved into the left lane and was struck by a vehicle.

The 16-year-old male rider was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the 18-year-old female passenger was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured, and she is assisting police with enquiries.
