Police seek witnesses to Warracknabeal house fire

Northern Grampians Criminal Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious house fire at Warracknabeal.

Emergency services were called to the vacant house on Anderson Street following reports of a fire about 10.45pm on 10 January.

The house, which was fully engulfed by flames, suffered extensive internal damage during the blaze.

Investigators believe the single-storey weatherboard house had been vacant for several years.

The fire has since been deemed suspicious and police are continuing to investigate the cause.
