Police seek woman after armed robbery in Revesby

Police are investigating an armed robbery in Sydney’s south-west yesterday.

About 2.15pm (Wednesday 2 September 2020), a woman entered a hairdressing salon on Beaconsfield Street, Revesby and inquired about the price of a haircut.

As the hairdresser handed over a business card, the woman produced a screwdriver and grabbed her around the neck and demanded money.

The hairdresser handed over a sum of money from the till before the woman left on foot towards Greenway Parade.

The hairdresser and other customers who were in the salon at the time of the robbery were shaken but not hurt.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene. Detectives have now commenced an investigation and would like to speak with anyone who may be able to assist.

The woman is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, 170-180cm tall, solid build, with shoulder-length black curly hair. She was wearing a black jumper, black tights and black shoes.
