Detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Squad have charged a 52-year-old man with drug offences.

Police executed a search warrant at a Wulagi residence on 18 March 2019. During the search police located a hydroponics grow room containing one medium size cannabis plant and cannabis which was in the process of being refined into cannabis oil.

A further search of the premises located approximately five litres of cannabis oil, 130 grams of cannabis plant material, and numerous chemicals and equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis. Police also seized two firearms, two nun chucks, fireworks, a double edged knife, and a number of M4 style ‘Gel Blasters’.

A search of a vehicle belonging to a 53-year-old male located $9960 cash, multiple clip seal bags and two containers of Viagra. He was released at completion of the warrant pending further investigations.

The 52-year-old man was charged with:

• Possess Cannabis – Traffickable Quantity

• Possess A Thing To Administer A Dangerous Drug

• Possess Cannabis In A Commercial Quantity

• Cultivate Cannabis

• Possess A Prohibited Weapon

• Possess A Prohibited Weapon

• Manufacture A Dangerous Drug

• Supply Cannabis In A Commercial Quantity

He is due to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
