Two men have been arrested after a stolen Honda sedan was tracked across metropolitan Adelaide.
About 3.10pm on Tuesday 1 September, Salisbury patrols spotted the stolen Honda sedan on Winzor Street, Salisbury Downs. Patrols attempted to stop the vehicle, however, the driver failed to stop.
Officers lost sight of the Honda on Burton Road, where the driver then allegedly sideswiped a Mazda.
At 4.10pm, a member of the public reported seeing the stolen Honda on Port Road at Thebarton, driving on its front left rim.
The driver and passenger abandoned the sedan on Airport Road, Brooklyn Park, about 4.30pm and fled.
Western District patrols, assisted by Police Dog Duke, tracked the pair to Lothian Avenue, Seaton, where they were arrested.
An 18-year-old Mitchell Park man and a 20-year-old Taperoo man were both charged with a number of offences, including driving without due care, failing to stop at the scene of a crash, failing to stop for police and illegal use of a motor vehicle.
The Mitchell Park man was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 26 October, while the Taperoo man was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday 2 September.
The Honda, stolen from Windsor Gardens on 24 August, was seized and towed for forensic examination.
