Police treating fire as suspicious, Rockhampton 1 December

Police are investigating a fire at a Rockhampton education facility overnight.

Initial investigations indicates two men forced entry into the school’s library shortly after 9 pm and ransacked the reception area.

They then fled the scene around 9.45 pm.

At around 9.50 pm, security services called emergency services to the Campbell Street school when they observed the building on fire.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and investigations are continuing.

Anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to contact police.
