The Forensic Crash Unit has renewed appeals for information and vision following a fatal traffic crash at Oak Beach, south of Port Douglas on 22 May.
Emergency services were called to the Captain Cook Highway shortly before 4pm following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Initial investigations indicate a white Mitsubishi Triton utility struck a red Mazda MX-5 before colliding with a white MG3 hatchback just south of the intersection with Reynolds Road.
The driver of the MG, a 34-year-old Mossman woman, and an infant passenger died at the scene.
Police are urging anyone who was on the Captain Cook Highway and witnessed the crash or has relevant dashcam of the vehicles in the lead up to the crash, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
