Police update 1: Wounding at Southport, QLD

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify the driver of a silver four-wheel-drive who may be able to help with their investigation into a wounding incident at Southport on July 17.

Officers have released vision of the vehicle, which was seen leaving the scene directly after the incident on Eugaree Street.

It is hoped someone might recognise the vehicle, which has distinctive spot lights.

Emergency crews were called to the Eugaree Street address just after 9pm on July 17 to reports a man had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, a 42-year-old New South Wales man was located outside a property with serious injuries.

He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
