Police update 2: Operation Romeo Seville

A new police operation launched in Townsville this week aimed at preventing criminal activity and identifying individuals and groups who participate in crime has so far resulted in the arrests of nine people.

A 19-year-old Vincent man has been further charged with two counts attempt to enter dwelling with intent to commit indictable offence. He will be appearing in the Townsville Magistrates Court on December 19.

A 21-year-old Heatley woman has been further charged with additional burglary, receiving and fraud offences.

A 23-year-old Garbutt man has been charged with three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of receiving tainted property and disqualified driving and one count of enter premises and commit indictable offence and drive without due care. He will be appearing in the Townsville Magistrates Court on November 19.

A 15-year-old Aitkenvale boy has been charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle as well as numerous instances of breaching probation and community service orders. Police have opposed bail and will be appearing in the Townsville Magistrates Court today.

A second 15-year-old boy has been charged with numerous charges including enter with intent, stealing and possess of tainted property.

A 22-year-old Black River man has been charged with one count each of stealing and fraud. He will be appearing in the Townsville Magistrates Court on November 7.
