Police update 2: Wounding at Gympie

Investigators have released an image of a man they believe can assist them with their investigation into to a wounding at Gympie on Wednesday March 23.

Police were called to a Pine Street address at approximately 1pm to reports a 47-year-old Tamaree man had suffered a stab wound after an altercation with a man and woman at that address.

The victim self-presented to Gympie Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police would like to speak to the man described as in his early 30s, Caucasian in appearance, approximately 170cm tall with a proportionate build and brown hair. It’s believed he was wearing a white t-shirt, dark coloured shorts, red shoes and was carrying a cross-body bag.

Last week a 25-year-old Gympie woman was charged with one count each of armed robbery in company/using personal violence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, grievous bodily harm, possess utensils, possess dangerous drugs and fail to dispose of needle.
