Police update 2: Wounding at Helensvale, QLD

Detectives have now charged a third and final teenager allegedly involved in the assault and wounding of a man at Helensvale yesterday morning, August 25.

Around 7.45am police were called to a Millaroo Drive shopping centre following reports of a disturbance during which the male security guard allegedly sustained a number of stab wounds.

Those involved fled the scene in a stolen black Holden Trax.

Police tracked the vehicle which was intercepted at Distillery Road at Beenleigh around 8.35am with four people taken into custody.

The security guard was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition where he remains.

A 17-year-old boy from Beenleigh has been charged with attempted murder and is due to face Southport Childrens Court today.

A 19-year-old Oxenford man and 13-year-old Upper Coomera girl have already been charged over the incident.

Police have now arrested and charged all the people allegedly involved in this alleged assault and wounding.
