Police update 3: Suspicious disappearance in Indooroopilly, QLD

Indooroopilly and Logan detectives have joined with the Homicide Investigation Unit as a task force is established looking into the suspicious disappearance of two Queensland men.

Last week, Taskforce Voltron, was initiated following investigations associated with a crime scene warrant taken out on a Coopers Plains business in relation to the suspicious disappearance of a 35-year-old man from Brisbane City last month.

As a result of investigations by detectives and forensic officers who have been at the Musgrave Road commercial premises in Coopers Plains since February 14, it is believed the disappearance and suspected murder of Lachlan Griffiths is linked to a man reported missing from Far North Queensland in January.

Andrew Christopher Walsh was reported missing my family in Mossman in January this year, however investigations have established the 35-year-old was last seen alive at Slacks Creek November 7, 2021.

The joint investigation has discovered the last known movements of both men are linked to the Musgrave Road property.

On February 21, detectives charged a 40-year-old Tingalpa man with murder in relation to the disappearance of missing man Lachlan Griffiths.

Detectives are continuing their appeal for information from anyone in the community who may have information to assist in these investigations.
