Police update 4: Homicide in Surfers Paradise, QLD

Police have charged four more teenage boys following a fatal stabbing in Surfers Paradise on December 13, 2019.

It is alleged the incident occurred around 8.10pm last Friday night on Surfers Paradise Boulevard, when two groups of people became involved in an altercation.

During the altercation, two 17-year-old boys from one group, were stabbed in the chest.

Both were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital where a 17-year-old boy from Parkwood passed away.

A 17-year-old Pacific Pines boy received treatment for stab wounds to his chest and back and is still recovering in the Gold Coast University Hospital.

Police investigations have led detectives to charge a 17-year-old Kingston boy, a 16-year-old Upper Coomera boy and a 16-year-old Waterford boy with murder and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. They are due to appear in Beenleigh Childrens Court on December 18.

An 18-year-old Beenleigh teenager has also been charged with murder and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. He is due to face Beenleigh Magistrates Court on December 18.
