Police update 4: Public appeal after fatal hit and run in Callemondah (Gladstone), QLD

Officers investigating the fatal traffic crash which occurred in Callemondah (Gladstone) on Sunday, August 25 are appealing for witnesses.

Preliminary information indicates that around 6.45pm to 7.05pm a 58-year-old man was hit by a vehicle on Red Rover Road, Callemondah. The man suffered fatal injuries.

CCTV from the area shows a white 4wd station wagon in the area at the alleged time of the incident.

Two further distinctive vehicles also shown in the footage are a white-water truck and a 4wd towing a ‘U Haul’ trailer.

Police are appealing for the drivers of these nominated vehicles to come forward and talk to police

Investigators are also appealing for any witnesses with any information or who was travelling along Red Rover Road between 6:50pm and 7:10pm on Sunday, August 25 to come forward and talk to police.

Investigations are continuing.
