Police update: Appeal – failure to appearin Brisbane

Queensland Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a man and believe he may be travelling in a silver 2005 Toyota Prado station wagon (pictured) with cancelled registration 690LUI. He likely to be sleeping in this car in public spaces and parkland at unknown locations between the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

John Amundsen (pictured) failed to appear in court in relation to a stalking matter on Brisbane’s north side.

He was last seen at an address in Aspley last week and police are currently trying to locate him.

Preliminary investigations indicate he may be using public transport to travel around Brisbane and between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 170cm tall, of a slim build with a shaved head and blue eyes. He sometimes has grey facial hair. He may also be wearing glasses.

If members of the public see John, they are urged not to approach him, but to contact Triple Zero (000).

The public are also reminded they can also provide information anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
