Police update: Charges – Unlawful entry in Darwin City

Northern Territory Police have charged a 31-year-old man in relation to an aggravated unlawful entry in Darwin City yesterday.

Police arrested the alleged offender on Cavenagh Street after ongoing negotiation with the man who hid inside a nearby residence after he had fled from police.

The man was later charged with aggravated unlawful entry and aggravated assault.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Darwin Local Court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Day said “It was an excellent coordinated response from negotiators, dog operations and the Territory Response Group for a high-risk apprehension.
