Police have confirmed the body of a person located in Moreton Bay on August 26 is that of 25-year-old Carwyn Massey.
He was one of two men who went missing on August 10 during a fishing trip.
Mr Massey’s body was located near Saint Helena’s Island around 8.30am on Monday. Police conducted an immediate land and aerial search of the location however no further items were uncovered.
His 32-year-old fishing partner remains missing.
Police express their sincerest condolences to both families of the men.
A five-day air, sea and land search was conducted for the two men who went missing in Moreton Bay after their boat was reported overdue on August 11.
The empty boat was located submerged west of Green Island at 5:05pm on August 11.
