Mackay detectives have charged two teenagers allegedly involved in an deprivation of liberty incident in Sarina on Saturday night.

It will be alleged that two teenage boys, aged 13 and 14, were walking along Coles Hill Road, at around 7.20pm when a blue sedan pulled up.

The 13-year-old boy, who knew the two teenage occupants of the car, a male and female, voluntarily got into the vehicle.

Following police investigations these two people were released from custody as it was determined they had not been in the car at the time of the earlier incident involving the 14-year-old.
