Police have updated the emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to a bushfire burning at Gregory River (north of Childers).
The emergency declaration bound by the edge of the Elliot State Forest along Childers Road, Voss Road, Newlands Road and Foleys Road has been revoked.
An emergency declaration was made under the PSPA for Promisedland early this morning, due to the quick spread of the fire. This declaration remains in place.
This area is bound by Phillips Road, Marles Road and Crosswells Road (pictured below).
Residents within the exclusion zone are urged to follow the advice of emergency services on the ground.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area.
