Detectives from Strike Force Trident and the Dog Operations Unit have arrested a man who absconded from Darwin Correctional Facility last week.
The 30-year-old was arrested without incident this morning at a residence in Jingili and has been conveyed back to the prison.
He will be summonsed to face a charge of escaping lawful custody.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland thanked members of the public for providing information to assist in locating the offender.
