A 52-year-old man has died following a crash at Carindale early Thursday morning.
At approximately 1.30am a vehicle crashed into the rear of a stationary tow truck on the Gateway Motorway.
The 52-year-old male driver, and sole occupant, was immediately treated by emergency services on scene and transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
The man died as a result of his injuries today.
Investigations into the circumstances of the crash continue.
