Police update: Fatal traffic crash at Stony Creek

A second person has died following a multi-vehicle crash at Stony Creek on January 7.

Initial investigations conducted by the Forensic Crash Unit indicate about 10.20am, a Mitsubishi Triton collided with a Toyota Landcruiser as they were travelling in opposite directions on the D’Aguilar Highway.

The driver of the Landcruiser, a 51-year-old Glamorgan Vale man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The passengers of the Landcruiser, a 49-year-old woman, and a teenage boy, were transported to hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The driver and passenger of the Triton, a 52-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man, were also transported to hospital from the scene.

Earlier today (January 11) the 52-year-old woman, from the Kidman Creek area, died in hospital as a result of her injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
