Police update: Four lives lost in two car crash at Redbank

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for dash camera footage or additional information following the loss of four lives at Redbank overnight.

In particular, police would like to hear from anyone who observed a dark blue 2016 Ford Focus hatch travelling east in the west bound lanes of the Ipswich Motorway prior to the crash.

It is unclear at this stage where the Ford Focus entered the motorway, however initial investigations suggest the vehicle may have been travelling in the wrong direction along the Cunningham Highway before the crash occurred about 11.15pm yesterday.

The driver and sole occupant of the Ford Focus, a 34-year-old Curra man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

All three occupants of the other vehicle involved, a 37-year-old woman, a 39-year-old man and a two-year-old girl, also died at the scene.

They all resided in the Darling Downs district.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police to assist with investigations.
