Police update: Hit and run charges in Alexandra Hills, QLD

A man has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder following a hit and run incident in Alexandra Hills last night, March 11.

It will be alleged at approximately 11.30pm, a man and woman were deliberately struck by a vehicle at a business along Finucane Road.

A 25-year-old Victoria Point woman sustained critical injuries and was transported to hospital, where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

A 24-year-old Victoria Point man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has since been discharged.

Following extensive investigations by Bayside Criminal Investigation Branch, a 34-year-old Salisbury man was located in Salisbury today with the vehicle of interest.

He has since been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possess utensils or pipes that had been used.

He has been denied police bail and is expected to appear at Cleveland Magistrates Court tomorrow, March 13.
