Detectives have charged a 33-year-old Mackay man with the murder of a man at Paget this morning.
Emergency services were called to a Broadsound Road address just before 3am this morning where they discovered a man who had allegedly been stabbed.
The 25-year-old Andergrove man died on scene.
The 33-year-old man has since been charged with murder. He is due to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Police are appealing to anyone on the Bruce Highway in the vicinity of Farrellys Road and Boundary Road around 2.30am and observed the two men to come forward.
Investigations continue.
