Police update: Public Safety Preservation Act declaration, Blacksoil and surrounds

Police have revoked an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA)followinga gas-leak incident encompassing Blacksoil and surrounds this morning.

The PSPA was declared just after 2am, after a truck carrying gas bottles rolled on the Warrego Highway, causing the gas-bottles to leak.

The Highway had to be closed in both directions between Brisbane Valley Highway and Pine Mountain Road.

The emergency declaration was revoked just after 9.30am and the highway was reopened at 9.50am, however motorists are warned that there is still heavy traffic-congestion in the area and to expect delays.

Police wish to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this incident.
