Police Update: Robbery in Inala, QLD

Detectives have released vision of a vehicle as part of an ongoing appeal for public assistance after a man’s car was stolen in Inala on 20 June.

At 11.55pm, a 50-year-old Inala man was in his parked Ford Fiesta on Crocus Street when he was approached by five men.

The group threatened the man whilst armed with a knife and a baseball bat before stealing and fleeing in the victim’s grey 2011 Ford Focus with Queensland registration 398SHC.

Around 12.40am on 21 June, the vehicle was located burnt out on Wagawn Street in Woodridge.

The victim received minor injuries in the incident.

The men are described as in their early twenties with black clothing and a dark complexion.

CCTV has last captured the group travelling in a red Mazda 3 hatchback with P plates at the intersection of Netball Drive and Ewing Road in Woodridge at 12.46am that morning.

Detectives have released new CCTV of a red Mazda and are appealing for anyone with information about the vehicle, it’s occupants, or any further information that may assist investigations to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
