Police update: Search for escapee at Rockhampton

Police have released images of a woman they wish to speak with in relation to the search for 26-year-old Lui Tiaaleaiga, who escaped from police custody in Rockhampton on July 27.

Just before 2am this morning officers attempted to intercept a blue Mazda 323 at a service station at the intersection of High and Musgrave Streets in Berserker.

The vehicle however failed to stop for police and drove away at high speed southbound along Musgrave Street.

Two male occupants and a female passenger were observed inside the car.

Police have released CCTV stills of a woman who entered the service station and purchased items prior to the incident.

Anyone who may recognise the Mazda (similar to pictured, QLD Registration 520XFE) or who knows the woman in the images is urged to come forward.

Lui “Dylan” Tiaaleaiga (pictured) escaped police custody at around 7pm while undergoing treatment at Rockhampton Base Hospital on July 27.

Anyone who sights Lui Taaleaiga (otherwise known as Dylan) is asked to immediately call Triple Zero (000) and not to approach him.
