A woman has passed away in hospital following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Booral on July 5.
Initial investigations indicate around 3.50pm a white Mitsubishi lancer was travelling north along River Heads Road, when it collided with a Toyota Hilux at the intersection of Booral Road.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 44-year-old Torquay woman, sustained critical injuries, with two occupants from the same vehicle suffering minor injuries.
The woman died in hospital yesterday (July 16) as a result of her injuries.
The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota, a 25-year-old Maryborough man was not physically injured.
Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash, or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
