A woman has died following a two-vehicle crash in Brooweena yesterday afternoon (March 10).
Initial investigations indicate around 2pm, a sedan and a logging truck collided on Maryborough Biggenden Road, resulting in the sedan falling off the Brooweena Bridge.
The driver and sole occupant of the sedan, a 40-year-old Biggenden woman, was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
Early this morning, the woman died as a result of her injuries.
The driver of the truck, a 40-year-old Tin Can Bay man, sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
