Police update: Serious traffic crash at Kirwan, QLD

A 12-year-old boy has been charged following investigations into a single vehicle traffic crash at Kirwan yesterday.

Preliminary investigations indicate just before 7am a boy driving a mini-van on Ross River Road lost control causing the vehicle to roll.

All six occupants of the vehicle were treated at the scene and two boys aged 10 remain in a critical condition.

A 12-year-old boy was charged with seven offences including three counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, receiving tainted property and driving a motor vehicle without a driver licence.

A 14-year-old has also been dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
