Police have charged a man with attempted murder after a woman was allegedly shot inside a Zillmere home on Sunday night.
Officers were called to Handford Road just after 11pm where they located the injured 23-year-old woman. She was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.
Around 8.30pm last night (Monday), a 22-year-old Wooloowin man was taken into custody and later charged with one count each of attempted murder, unlawful use of motor vehicle, authority required to possess explosives, obstruct police, damaging evidence with intent and contravention of domestic violence order. The alleged contravention does not relate to the woman that was injured in the incident.
He was denied bail and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
