Police update: Shooting incidents at Townsville

Police have charged a man with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm following two shooting incidents in Townsville.

It will be alleged about 4am on September 1 police received reports of shots fired at a licensed premise on Ross River Road Aitkenvale. Police located a vehicle with a bullet hole.

Police will allege that soon after shots were fired in Undara Crescent, Cranbrook. Police located a bullet shell casing.

Police attended a residence in Rasmussen and arrested the man and transported him to the Townsville watch house.

A 31-year-old Rasmussen man will be appearing in the Townsville Magistrates Court today.
