Investigations continue into a suspicious fire at Bagot Community last week.
Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Budge said, “After the fire, a 55-year-old man with serious injuries was located in nearby bushland.
“The man has injuries consistent with a serious assault. We are investigating the possibility this assault is directly related to the fire and we are treating these events as family violence incidents.”
The man remains in Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition and he is assisting police with inquiries.
