Police update: Suspicious disappearance investigation, Coopers Plains

Detectives are continuing to appeal to the public for assistance in relation to the disappearance of a 35-year-old Indooroopilly man, which is now being treated as a homicide.

Lachlan Griffiths was last seen on the morning of Sunday, January 16, at a Herschel Street apartment complex before it’s believed he travelled in a vehicle with unknown people to a Musgrave Road, Coopers Plains business.

He was reported missing on Wednesday, January 26 by family as he had not made contact with anyone, which was out of character.

Detectives from the Indooroopilly Criminal Investigation Branch have established Operation Uniform Stein and executed a crime scene warrant at the Coopers Plains address, where a car has been seized.

Anyone who was in the Coopers Plains area on January 16 and has information, or knows Lachlan Griffith’s whereabouts, is urged contact police.
