Police update: Two dead, teen injured after stolen car hits pole in Abbotsbury

Investigations are continuing after two males died in a crash involving a stolen vehicle at Abbotsbury earlier today.

Just after 4.20am (Sunday 1 November 2020), emergency services were called to the Cowpasture Road and The Horsley Drive roundabout, after reports a Holden Commodore SS had struck a pole.

Police will allege the Commodore was stolen from a home at Edmondson Park prior to the crash.

Two males died at the scene. They are yet to be formally identified.

A third occupant, a 17-year-old boy, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital where he remains under police guard with non life-threatening injuries.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command, with assistance from Liverpool City, established a crime scene, which has been examined by specialist police.

The Crash Investigation Unit commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As part of ongoing inquiries, police have arrested a 37-year-old Edmondson Park man.

He is currently assisting police with their inquiries at Fairfield Police Station.
