Police update: Wounding and fire at Grange

Police have charged a 44-year-old Grange woman with attempted murder (domestic violence offence) following an incident in Grange on Thursday (February 2).

At approximately 5.20am, police were called to a property on Inglis Street following reports of an alleged assault and a small fire.

Upon police arrival, a 43-year-old man was located with a stab wound to his chest and was transported to hospital in a critical condition.

A 44-year-old woman was taken into custody at the property, before being transported to hospital in a stable condition.

She has since been charged with one count each of attempted murder (DV) and endangering property by fire (DV).

She is expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow (February 7).
