Police update: Wounding in Moorooka, QLD

Police have charged two men over an alleged wounding incident that occurred in Moorooka last night, November 6.

It will be alleged around 9.15pm, a number of people became involved in an altercation along Lyon Street, where a 31-year-old Cedar Creek man sustained a wound to his torso.

He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Two men were assisting police with inquiries and were formally charged tonight, November 7.

A 40-year-old Loganlea man has been charged with two counts of going armed so as to cause fear, and one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm, enter dwelling with intent, possessing dangerous drugs, and possess utensils or pipes .

A 47-year-old Moorooka man has been charged with two counts of going armed so as to cause fear, and one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, assaults occasioning bodily harm and enter dwelling with intent.

Both men have been denied police bail and are expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, November 8.
