Police update: Wounding in Wynnum, QLD

Police have charged a 37-year-old woman with attempted murder after a teenage girl sustained multiple stab wounds at a Wynnum residence this morning.

Officers were called to a unit complex on Emsworth Street just before 5am following reports of a disturbance.

Police located a 17-year-old girl with a number of stab wounds to her face, neck and back.

She was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

The woman and girl are known to each other.

The woman will appear in Wynnum Magistrates Court tomorrow.
