Police update: Wounding investigationin Brisbane City

Police have charged a 42-year-old man with attempted murder following an alleged wounding incident at an address in Brisbane City yesterday, November 12.

It will be alleged he became involved in an altercation with a 48-year-old man at the Mary Street property around 10.30am, where the older man sustained multiple stab wounds to the abdomen, and lacerations to the leg and arms.

The 42-year-old man also sustained a cut to his arm during the incident.

Both men were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Subsequent investigations led police to arrest and charge a 42-year-old Varsity Lakes man with attempted murder, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and grievous bodily harm.

He has been denied police bail and is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 14 November at 9am.
