Pop-up NSW Health vaccination clinic at University of Sydney

Available to students and staff as well as members of the general public, the clinic will run over two weeks in October from today, offering doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

The NSW Health mobile vaccination team will be administering the doses, and no Medicare card will be required to obtain a vaccination. Both pre-booking and walk-in appointments are available.

First and second Pfizer vaccinations will be provided; those receiving their first vaccination will be booked in for a second dose at the clinic in November.

Chief Executive of Sydney Local Health District, Dr Teresa Anderson, says everyone aged 12 and over is now eligible for a free Pfizer vaccination.

“I’m encouraging anyone who hasn’t yet been vaccinated to come along to be vaccinated – we all want to get back to doing the things we love as soon as possible,” Dr Anderson said.

“You can make a booking or just walk-in and our staff will be able to help you when you arrive.”

Everyone who gets vaccinated is making a difference – and is not only protecting themselves but their loved ones too.

University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor and Principal Professor Mark Scott said the University was delighted to be able to support the vaccination rollout in this way.

“We’re particularly pleased to be able to play a key role in enabling younger people in our community to easily obtain a free vaccination.

“We encourage all our students who haven’t already been vaccinated to take advantage of this free clinic on campus.”

We also warmly invite our broader community to campus to receive their vaccination, one of the most effective ways we can help protect ourselves and each other at this time.
