Popular Dining And Entertainment Program Returns

VIC Premier

The Andrews Labor Government is making dining and entertainment more affordable for Victorians no matter where they live so they can eat, play and get cash back.

The Labor Government’s popular Victorian Dining and Entertainment Program – Eat, Play, Cash Back is now live, saving Victorians money on restaurant meals, live gigs and museum visits over spring and summer while supporting hardworking businesses.

The Program, open from today, allows customers to claim 25 per cent cash back when they spend $40 or more enjoying the best our state has to offer.

Eligible purchases include meals at restaurants, cafes and pubs, tickets to live music or art performances, and entries into museums, galleries and amusement parks.

Customers can claim up to $125 cash back each and make multiple claims until they reach the cap.

The first round of the Program was launched in March this year and saw more than $32 million claimed in three months, with Hai Dai Lao, Dumpling Alley and Shanghai Red the most popular dining venues.

Trips to the cinema and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Princess Theatre were the most popular entertainment choices.

The $25 million dollar Program is part of the Government’s $200 million Victorian Business Stimulus Package supporting local businesses and jobs and runs until 16 December 2022 or when funds are exhausted.
