The construction of a new bridge on Porteous Road in Wareek is now complete.
The extensive upgrade involved the removal of the former single lane bridge and construction of a new two lane bridge, with an increased weight limit.
The project was funded through the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development’s Bridge Replacement Program – $500,000, Regional Roads Victoria’s Fixing Country Roads Program – $270,000 and Council contributed a further $310,035 to the project.
The project has been delivered by Murray Constructions P/L.
